Bilingual Office Assistant
Location: Chatsworth, CA
$20 - $21 per hour

* Duties:
o Organizes and performs more difficult or complex administrative and clerical tasks in support of department(s) or an office.
o Maintains a variety of case and department records, including work files, computer databases, activity logs. Compiles and prepares reports from materials and information extracted from other sources.
o Composes correspondence and communicates with others.
o Organizes work by reading and routing correspondence; collecting information; initiating telecommunications.
o Maintains department calendars for department staff; arranging meetings, conferences, and teleconferences.
o Schedules appointments with consumers, related parties or internal Regional Center staff.
o Completes requests by greeting consumers or related parties in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries as appropriates to other staff members.
o Prepares reports by collecting and collating information. Set ups and maintains filing systems.
o Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies;
o Coordinates the flow of information both internally and externally. Liaises with consumers and others to provide them the information requested.
o Performs a variety of clerical and support tasks to include; typing, filing, copying, scanning, preparing, and obtaining case materials.
o Performs data entry by entering and updating consumer and other information in Regional Center computer systems.
o Participates in meetings and training sessions as requested.
o Provides reception coverage on an as needed or periodic basis.

Employment Standards/Education Requirements
High School Diploma required and two to four plus years of Office Assistant experience.

Skills and Abilities
Microsoft Office and related applications. Knowledge of general office functions and customer service skills. Ability to operate a computer and enter data accurately. Ability to speak and write in an organized and effective manner. Ability to write with excellent grammar. Ability to be detail oriented. Ability to multi-task.
